Maybe they put helium in the microphone? It floats like a helium balloon. I didn’t watch the whole video. True, they could do helium, especially if they had the room air with a big temperature gradient, i.e. heat and cool at the same time, so that it's easier to make the mic float at just the right height. That's grasping IMO, though.
