Well, they did get one thing wrong. Electric cars can be very fast.

Yeah, I think people automatically resist because this shit is being rammed down our throat. Electric cars are great for a lot of use cases. Theoretically longevity should be amazing as they are orders of magnitude simpler than IC and they can run off of American coal which furthers our energy independence. Battery packs are much cheaper than maintenance over the life of a car and car replacement itself due to wear.

Don't pretend you don't know where this is heading. Cause it's already gone too far towards wherever this is heading.

Electric cars : are expensive as fuck. The cars are literally being sold for less than what it costs to build them.. And they are still expensive.

Electric cars are fully claimed When Bought by Businesses because they Allegedly have 0 co2 emissions. They don't.

Traditional cars Are being Phased out, not because they are dying naturally and organically and being replaced by a mew superior technology, but because Of interference. Taxation, bans, etc.

Tje average human being does not care about sub 7 second 0-60 or a top Speed of 400km/h.they want to carry their butts to work and Tk the gym and back home. There are literally millions of perfectly working cars being scrapped because of policies. Pseudo Ecologists ignore this damage.

Recharge. I see Fags smoke and Read, and browse phones while charging their cars. It Takes Me 3 minutes to fill up my car per Month. This is ultimate faggotry.

Subscription keys.

Surveillance.

Range. It's Shit.

You Ll probably end Up Locked out of your car for "spreading fake News" or "hate speech" lol.

You Ll probably have to watch Adds lol.. And need An email to drive

Until there are modular batteries that can be removed at service stations and swapped for fully charged replacements, so that proper battery safety can be observed at all times, EV is a poor replacement for IC.

Presently it's something like buy brand new car, lose 10% of the battery capacity within the first month, then have a 12-13k replacement part that continuously decays in capacity up to 70% in the first 100,000 miles before the warranty kicks in. So your brand new car goes from a range of 405 miles down to under 300 and your options are limited and I would assume the more frequently you charge your car the faster the cells decay, creating a compounding issue.

Now as a fleet of 24/7 self driving taxis in and around major metropolitan areas, sure that would be useful.

Capacity drop certainly does occur but it is not nearly as bad as you surmise. An independent company named Recurrent monitors a number of different types of cars and pegs the industry at a whole averaging around 1% loss per year in capacity.

My main issue with them is software. It's the same with new ICE cars as well. I can buy an older ICE car and not worry about software. You can't do that with electrical cars. If you don't like the software, well tough luck.

I totally agree with you on that but that is not an inherent feature of electric cars and government control will be built into all new cars produced after the latest budget bill passed

Depends on how you define 'fast'. They can accelerate very quickly but the way they are engineered they don't support gearboxes (aside from a super car or two IIRC) so you cap out at 120-130 ish and maintaining those speeds uses tremendous amounts of charge.

Can be, but can you thrash one like you can one with a piston engine?

[–] 1 pt

Oh hell yeah. Ever heard of the Alto dirt bike?

[–] 0 pt

I have not. I was talking about tracking a Tesla regularly.

They go very far as well.

Not really, relatively speaking.

?? Some of the first cars were electric
