Isn't posing as red cross kinda frowned on in a war?? . Guy even let slip the red cross group were all ex-special forces with extra vests and passes/ badges seemingly on the look out to help dodgy looking 'former combatants' to evade Border Security. Another total reddit moment and Red cross rat line.

I completely agree. At the same time, these jackasses should be taught a lesson. By the sounds of the video, that's exactly what they did. They literally scared them off.
Illegal is only what the criminals deem as wrong.
It is definitely illegal to pose as Red Cross or pretend to be dead if your intention is to lure the enemy into an ambush. The Geneva Conventions call it 'perfidy.' It may not be prosecutable if you are running away and are no longer a combatant
