Where is a gallon of beer less than a gallon of gas?
I feel for your rising gas prices and all, but let me give you some perspective. Before this mess in Ukraine, 1 gallon in Poland was 5 dollars. Now it is 6. Average yearly pay in the US, $52000. In Poland, $16000, in reality, oridinary people earn about $8200 a year.
16k American dollars?
How is the rest of the cost of living?
Sorry, I made a mistake. Will edit this in a moment. For the common people it is around $8200. Oh, and this is before taxes of course. According to estimates, a family of four spends around $1700 per month and a single person about $500. Without rent.
We have states bigger than Poland.
That is correct information. I don't think it is relevant to this subject, but it is correct.
My point was mainly that high gas prices in European countries present a different situation from high gas prices in the US because of the sheer land area.
