Did you know that the founding fathers wanted weapons flowing the other way in a time of emergency. The founding fathers were not foreigners to the idea of a government owning weapons. They just fought a country that supplied its solders with guns. France also had its armaments. The hidden point of the 2nd amendment isn't that it's about you having guns. It's about the government not having them and needing to source them through you. That would have given the people veto power to say no to whatever the government was doing. The sad thing about them saying you shouldn't get the same things as the military is that if we were following the constitution I should have things they don't have.
