I feel like the Among Us subconsciously appeals to people because of modern life on the internet. We are all anonymous users and we know that some of the others have to be real people like ourselves but also know many of them are disgusting, filthy kike impostors. Hell, Among Us even has a shapeshifter role right now. Among Us is basically a mirror of modern internet life.
