You keep knocking season 1, but it's worth watching. Some unforgettable moments and the introduction and blossoming of the characters.
Now, what's hard to swallow is how fucking liberal they are in real life. They're truly vile. Learn about them and you'd swear the whole cast was jewish.
No I’m familiar with their politics, and it sucks. But the show is still brilliant.
As far as season 1, I don’t think it’s awful, but it’s not nearly as funny without Danny devito and as a result I don’t think it’s the best place to start.
That show would never have lasted 14 seasons without Frank
Edit: you say there are some memorable moments in season 1, but think about season 2 episodes 1-3. Serious classics, and it’s like every season beyond that produced even more classics.
