I am the last good generation that mostly grew up without the Internet. It has deleterious effects as an adult as well, but it's like alcohol: if you use it as an adult, you get sloshed then sober up; if you use it all your childhood you get brain damage.
I still love the look on people's face when I tell them I don't have a phone when they ask me to check in with my phone.
