I suspect, this was a shot where Baldwin was aiming to the side of the camera. That’s a common shot in westerns where they put the viewer in the position of the person being shot. Builds tension. The cinematographer is typically peering over the shoulder of the camera operator, and the director is right behind them. This would explain how he got them both with one shot. It probably went thru her neck and hit the director in the collar bone. This is not Baldwins fault. It’s the dipshit that loaded the gun.
