My Great-Aunt Betsy's 1946 model Frigidaire refrigerator (bought for her by my Great-Uncle Garret when he came home and they married right after the war) is still running ice cold despite *never* having received *any* maintenance in living memory. Excellence in workmanship is a habit. Update: Out of sheer curiosity I went looking and found out that a reconditioned 1946 model Frigidaire refrigerator like my Great-Aunt Betsy's would set you back $3,500 today.
