Leaving the scene works.

Fellas always leave the scene, then leave the state or jurisdiction, even if they think they're "innocent".

Usually things blow over after a week or two, if they ever find out who did it at all. If there is a picture or video, they get rid of the phone by spiking it to the pavement or a nearby wall.

They're not going to expend resources to figure out who "beat someone up" but they'll take you in if you're standing there like a dumbass.

Like you know there's memory cards right? Just breaking the phone/screen is not enough... you would wanna do that and bring it with you probably.

When someone confronted me about anything, I hit them in mid-sentence so it was never a problem.

Nobody standing right there even knew what happened. All anyone saw was someone on the ground and the back of my head walking away. If they asked anyone, they'd say they had no idea what happened.

CCTV isn't problem because if they ever did catch up to me, what was said is his word against mine. Socking someone immediately looks like an immediate threat was made.

Drawn out arguments bring eyes, ears and witnesses of all kinds.
