That is about right for a drill sergeant. The problem isn't the harshness of the voice, the problem is the lack of energy behind it. had it right, it's like it's an incompetent actor playing at being a drill sergeant.

Let's tell them about the "frog voice" that Drill Instructors develop.

Drill Instructors for the USMC (at Parris Island) have 4 voices: their normal speaking voice (typically reserved for late in boot camp, after you've proven yourself to them many times over, and for their wives), their "froggy" voice (this will be how they speak to you most of the time- all of the screaming helped them adapt to using this weird froggy voice to speak lowly and maintain their vocal chords), their normal voice (when they are shouting to instruct the whole training platoon) and then their "You fucked up, recruit" voice (which you really do not want to hear because of the pain you are going to be in while being quarter-decked).

Don't blame the drill instructor for not sounding intimidating. These days there are restrictions on what they can say and how they can say it, because, get this, the higher ups don't want them to sound too harsh.

Female instructors just aren’t physically capable of being as intimidating as their male counterparts. They lack the voice, aggression, and size. They can still be solid instructors but gaining respect is key and it’s definitely harder for them.

I had a tiny drill instructor who was supposed to be our "Kill Hat" (the one who screams at you and punishes you the most). He washed out for remedial training, because on our first training day, he went to demonstrate how to overcome obstacles on the course.... and he couldn't do about half of them. I recall recruits desperately trying not to laugh.

It might work for child soldiers. A female dog or lion can be very intimidating, as can a strict old battle axe of a school teacher. I think we're gearing up for child soldiers.

we had a female assigned to one of our gates because only females could search muslim females, but most of the time there was nothing for her to do. so one day she's just sleeping and a sergeant rips into her. she winds up crying and he gets a 4856. he winds up getting passed over for promotion.

Yeah, why are military personal staging this for social media, and why would they be allowed to do so on tiktok of all places?

Was it recorded in another software and then posted to tiktok or was it recorded directly into tiktok. If so what is tiktok doing being run anywhere on a military base?
