They’ve done a fairly good job of destroying gun culture. Fathers haven’t passed it down to their sons. Grown men don’t know how to hunt, don’t know how to shoot, and if the government decides to go to war with you, or the other way around, they will win very quickly.
They will carpet bomb the hell out of rural areas and suburbs and be done with it. Why wouldn’t they? They already control the cities, that’s plenty of the population, there will be enough people left for them to control. They know the dangerous people don’t live in the cities so they wipe out everything but the cities within two or three days and be done with it.

Yea that’s not how that would go down at all. They had trouble finding a bunch of shitskins in a hilly desert. The US is 15 times the size of Afghanistan and covered in forest and mountains to boot. It would be virtually impossible to find a fraction of rebels unless they are directly engaging government forces, and “carpet bombing the rural areas” would cut off all food supply to the cities and cause total Anarchy.

If I was in their position I think I would be perfectly content living my entire life in a luxury bunker while using cameras to watch the suffering of the masses. It's not the 18th century when the only way to see anything is to actually travel to the location.
b-21s and the like require a lot of infrastructure, have a high cost per hour to operate. they aren't going to to bomb rural areas that contain all the infrastructure and are key to manning and logistics
