The game is still active, but it is a shell of what it was. I quit long ago and started playing on 'player ran shards'. Those were good for awhile but as the game aged the player base dropped off. I've never seen anything to take its place but there isn't enough people interested to support a player ran shard that holds the spirit of what it once was.
