Lol. Wtf is the point of that? I assume it is supposed to pick up sounds like you are actually there? I don't see why you can't just rig up 2 mics, one going to the R side and the other the L side input, and it probably won't cost you $2000. To do it, but what do I know. Is this a popular device?

I think it is quite popular with the ASMR youtubers/streamers. But basically, yes, it is just two microphones in an enclosure with two ears. But when the simps are sending you money by the truck load, why would you care how much it costs?
