Is Buddism right about women?

[–] 10 pts

religion in general it seems

And how funny is it that women choose the ONE religion that has the most favorable interpretation of women to decry as "sexist" while applauding all of the others that view women as lamp shades with vaginas. They single handedly prove every one of these religions correct in their assessment of women.

However, only Christianity acknowledges that while women can never compete on the same level, if they excel in their supportive roles they can be elevated past the angels. That a union/marriage is a union of souls, in chorus the same way as the left and right brain, but only if they embrace their position as queen beside (and in service to) their king. It's quite eloquent, romantic and beautiful symbolism.

Women despise weakness.

Fuckin' saved. I'm copy+pasting this comment whenever the issue of sexism and religion comes up again.

It is, and it's as lovely as it is unrealistic for all but the most capable. This is also fine, it improves the breed.

It's called perennialism.

The Ism baptism leads to another new religion. One we can't wait to break free like chains and exorcisms.

It appears that many things written before the 20's were right about women.

I had a religion professor in college who basically started off the class by saying that religious texts were not written for women. She didn't actually sound butthurt about it, however professors are nowadays.

It's weird, but: I actually get the same heebiejeebies reading The Daily Stormer Tranny Watch, as I do reading the Bible. It's just pure, unabashed, unadulterated truth. You read it, and the level of bluntness and truth just shakes you in a way you cannot unhear. Those who have eyes to see and ears that hear are truly blessed, let me tell you; it's only our own sense of despair that turns said ability in to a curse. The more we embrace this almost autistic penchant for truth-seeking, and keep opening our big fat mouths: the better the world will be for it.

I believe that there's probably only a handful of women left in this world, with the capability of reading either and not getting butthurt: let alone fully grasping the implications of them.

I had a female housemate once. She called herself Buddhist. I asked what she did that made her Buddhist and she got pissed. She didn't actually do anything, just wanted virtue points.

Not getting pissed could have been one of the things. Oh well, failed on all fronts.

That's true... Lol. I asked her how she prayed, what temple she went to, what she changed in her life, if she meditated, if she had an altar... Nothing. Then I said it sounds to me like you aren't much of a Buddhist and she got choked.
