Can one be deeply religious but not involve oneself in organized religion? What if one, rejects organized religion because it robs religion of its spontaneity and randomness, which is required to have a religious experience? You'd say that person is cookoo for cocoa puffs, and you'd almost be right.

Not necessarily. If a person doesn't really ascribe to anything but thinks deeply about the universe, whatever truth is, etc then they're probably pretty smart.

In my experience people who believe they are stupid are usually wrong. And people who believe they are smart are almost always wrong to.
