The officers upon not finding drugs in the car and writing up a warning were supposed to let the detained people go immediately. They didn't though, and by detaining her longer got to this point of discussion, which was beyond the point in time of lawfully detaining under probable cause. When there's no probable cause to detain, anything found in the detain time is thrown out of evidence in a court. She and her lips go free.
