I have a model 3 performance. Literally one of the best cars I’ve ever owned. I’m not lying to myself that I’m saving the world.
My previous car to this was a 2014 Nissan GTR. The 3 has more useable power and more utility with damn near the same performance under 100 mph.
Leaving the house every day with a 300 mile range basically covers 99% of all my travel. We still have a gas car for extended trips when we rarely take them.
Elon Musk is a grifter who steals US taxpayer money to fund his projects.
He didn't start Tesla. He bought it from smarter people and then commercialized it.
He pumped Bitcoin and then crashed it when he realized he couldn't get more free money with Bitcoin on his balance sheet.

All the big car manufacturers abuse the tax system...
Take Chrysler for example.. every time they change tooling they lay off the workers and us tax payers pick up the tab via unemployment. They will do this for extended periods too 2-5 months is common.
They both do, but companies like Tesla will get the federal reserve's blessing. TPTB aren't shoving EVs down our throats for our benefit.
