If anything, having a high EQ means you're more likely to be extremely manipulative than anything else. Women just obsess over it because the EQ test is mistakenly believed to be a measure of empathy, which is "good". Ironically this is an example of why having a high EQ can be bad, because it makes you more inherently likely to go along with the crowd simply because enough of them repeat the same thing.
