IDK why everyone hails BTC as the future of money when the transactions take 20-45 minutes to complete and it eats up all the energy performing mining, energy that could be going to heating homes and powering factories. That's the future? No, it's only a matter of time before one of the Alt Coins becomes the chosen standard due to faster transactions and less energy used. But you can guarantee the bankers will never allow it to be something decentralized and the consensus alg servers to be controlled by the public. We'll all get their new digital currency, and they'll use crypto on the backend to make it easier to manage, monitor, track, and control the new financial system.

I feel that owning bitcoin will end up becoming a status symbol in the future. It'll be like owning a copy of Superman #1 or even a Picasso.
Just think about how rare bitcoin will be within 100 years as plenty will be burned, lost on cold storages, crashed computers, thumb drives thrown out, seed passwords for wallets will be forgotten, people dying with bitcoin on their coinbase/binance accounts - and so on. Those 21 million coins won't all last and the price in 100 years will possibly be in the billions (or trillions) with the way inflation is currently skyrocketing.
