There's been plenty of time to determine the long term effects from smoking. The reality is that those long term effects vary widely from individual smoker to individual smoker. The vaxx, however, has no ample time to determine any effects including efficacy. The two cannot be compared directly so the irony here is how your point has the opposite effect of what you intended it too. Also smoking is a choice and not mandated by governments or employers or authoritarians.
