Haven't you been paying attention? I see parents doing that shit ALL THE TIME. Are you assuming that our Creator is supposed to be a GOOD PARENT? As far as I can tell, this motherfucker is a single parent who is both abusive and neglectful. And that behavior is mirrored in His creations, for there are many human beings who are shitty parents too.
