Salespeople are useful. I guess what I'm saying is I don't consider their efforts "work" but rather people manipulation. I'm not saying that everyone who sends emails is a useless partner. At the same time, there are people who are useless, or nearly useless. And a lot of those are in the emailing job.
Women clean everywhere. I consider that labor work.
Yeah management I wasn't thinking of when I wrote my two sentence post. They do send a lot of emails. At best, I think they make decisions and get other people to respect those decisions thus improving efficiency. That's based on my own job (computer programmer) ; they may have a different role somewhere else.

I have a theory that the final war to end all wars will be Engineers vs Managers, more of a fantasy really.
In my experience, the managers are basically children shouting "I WANT" and under no obligation to understand the requirements of their demands.
My last manager, was pretty cool, I liked him, but he was clueless as to what I actually do. I've gotten in 'trouble' for implementing his requests!

Yeah I get it. I have too many bosses, oftentimes, as well. I think at best a manager is someone who is respected and fair enough to settle disagreements. It's great to be right, but sometimes you just need to get people on the same page. Also some people who manage communicate well, which great since a lot of us are autists. I hate picking up the phone.
I hate the phone too, I wish I had managers who could communicate, I always end up having to tell them what they want... they are incapable of saying it. Best job I've ever had, i fucking hate it sometimes lol.
On more than one occasion, I've accused my boss of being autistic.
