blade deflection is a serious issue when using a 12" blade...the only solution is to go to a full kerf thick bodied blade like a Freud Ultimate one (and yeah, they cost some serious coin)...after my Makita LS1211 finally got too old a few years ago I switched to a modern 10" version which has the same capacity vertically...I did seriously think of the 12" version with a huge capacity but decided I was tired of dealing with deflection issues
