Been learning Japanese online and yeah, this shit is fucking everywhere. These dipshits learn some hiragana/katakana, a couple of basic phrases, and suddenly they start writing about how ableist it is to know more than one language or somesuch. And they are in damned near every learning community as well, constantly complaining about gendered language and other jewish propaganda and bullshit.
Yeah, it's fucking infuriating. These faggots set the bar so low on what "fluency" in a language is, that it shits on anyone who takes the time to learn a language to a decent level.
Reminds me of a story I read on DuoLingo. Some ((community member)) went to take the JPLT. Turns out, they only used DuoLingo to learn.
Obviously they failed. Yet somehow it wasn't their fault at all. Somehow it was DuoLingo's fault or something. And there were so many responses by the usual reddit-tier midwits offering support. You can always tell them by the number of languages they have on their bar next to the name.
Don't get me wrong, DL is great for practicing in an interactive way. It helps bolster your other learning methods. But you can't rely on just one method. You have to use them all. Daily.
Duolingo has its place to teach the extreme basics of a language and to get your feet wet in a language, but once you know that stuff it's time to move on. It also can't teach you anything beyond a beginner level with Duolingo.
There's heaps of methods that one can use to learn the basics, the rest can be learned by having a lot of conversations with native speakers.
It doesn't surprise me that it was something relating to Japanese. The amount of degenerates that learn Japanese make me facepalm.
