The news clearly isn't, and yet I know so many people who can't notice even the most obvious contradictions. Then again most people haven't noticed that "super racist" Hitler was more closely allied with the non-white Japanese than any of his enemies were with any non-whites they hadn't conquered or colonized. Like nobody even has a built in bullshit detector when it comes to history and politics.
