It’s for a comedy skit. You are correct though, people don’t practice with power, they want speed. Problem is when you get in a real fight, you get fucked over because you’re just tagging them really fast instead of applying force.

All the girls in my classes would do everything that way; no power or technique, only speed.
The movements are slow and deliberate at first, but they all want to “get the points”. Maybe it’s because they don’t take it seriously? Or feel the need to overcompensate since men are around?
That last one may be it. Women tell each other how good/bad men are in bed and talk dick size, maybe they expect us to talk shit about how weak or bad at karate they are? I don’t ever talk about women when I’m out with the guys though, does anyone do that on a regular basis?
“Yeah man, Jessica is really bad at karate, you could easily rape her.” Is that what they really think of us?
