I find his characters creepy. I started following him when he showed the magic behind bringing them "alive", as my son gets into mechanical stuff, I thought he might enjoy it. He didn't. I usually ignore the videos with the characters. And this one did make me laugh.
I think I did like him better when I was younger, though.
I view his gimmick as the same as having cartoons selling prescription drugs or "adult animated series" which are just cartoons for the adult child.
This nostalgic obsessive culture is more than contributing to a culture, that inhibits mental and emotional growth under the guise of entertainment, it demands it.
It's destroying the maturation process in human beings and setting up tens of millions to never be anything more than (chronically old) toddlers. In constant need of caring for.
