I live in Norway. We have a lot of US persons moving here because of the oil and shipping industry. Most of them never learn a quack of Norwegian either.
What's worse is that Norwegian in some ways has similarities to English, which makes it even more disgusting because it's not stupidly hard to learn the basics.
My husband is also from that area of the world and I've gone to the trouble to learn the language because whenever we visit his family back home it's important that I communicate with them in their language (even if their English is great). I could have done the usual "They speak English so fuck learning the language" bullshit that others do, but that would be denying my husbands' roots and heritage which is a disgusting thing to do.
I'm an American and you have my blessing to deport them all.

It's difficult to remember that there are Good Scandinavians because the ones who came to the USA are mostly terrible, and are flooding us with rapefugees. I'm told that the Scandinavians that we got are mostly the commies that y'all expelled.
Compared to Sweden, Norway has almost shut its borders for rapefugees. Our politicians (at least some) are calling them exploiters and a destruction on our cultural heritage.
