You're right. Going off the grid and far from paved roads does tend to work well.
It's more than that, friend. I've lived as far off grid as I can. I've lived in the woods on a mountain. They'll still tax you when you sell vegetables and meat to your neighbors. They'll take your money and give it to monsanto gmo farmers to grow more corn for junk food. If you build a barn on your property, they'll see it and tax you for it every year.

If I had my way, every multigenerational household would pay minimal taxes on a property used for residence including sustenance farming, and rent seekers with apartments and condos would pay big property taxes.

I understand one could argue taxes are necessary to an extent. But, you have to realize who we're paying now. Originally, we were only supposed to pay a small amount during war time. Israel likely doesn't need to tax their citizens. They're already drawing tax dollars from us in the states. We need to stop paying them.
