One thing that stood out to me was how Crowder completely abandoned Owen Benjamin after Owen began addressing the JQ. Owen used to write for Crowder's show and appeared in many of his sketches. The whole thing happened at a time when it seemed like people on our side were being hyper-critical of anybody not publicly dealing with the JQ. I see both sides of the coin here. On the one hand, fuck you if you aren't. On the other, look what happened to Owen's career relative to SC's. I guess we're all on a bit of a purity spiral - we want to see people making sacrifices, not using these talking points combined with their charisma and humor to get wealthy and famous. I doubt if any of us could say just what we'd do in the same situation. From what I have heard about the situation with Not Gay Jared and Sven Computer, Crowder is a massive piece of shit. Based on how adjacent and similar he is to Shapiro, I think you could make another argument (especially given Crowder's inclusion in the whole BlazeTV nonsense) that he is also just a gatekeeping personality - allowed to take a certain throne in that space to address only the most superficial aspects of things.
