DO NOT START YOUR COMMENTS WITH "SO"!

I meant to upvote you, but I'm using a shitty mouse and slipped while clicking and downvoted you so uhhhh....just ignore please

See, nothing was lost.

You know you can change your vote right?

Kids these days, sheesh.

At first I was irritated with you grammar police telling people not to do that but then I realized I do it a lot and for no other reason that I’ve heard other people do it so often. Now I intentionally don’t do it, thanks I guess.

Anytime I read or hear someone start with "So" it hurts my brain. Don't these idiots realize how stupid they sound? Not to mention you can't have SOY without SO.

Well as someone who did it for awhile, no. It’s similar to how “like” is now extensively overused, used to just be teen girls who did it but now most people do. You pick up on it from others and don’t realize you’re doing it until someone points it out.

I had a college dorm mate from Hawaii that was like this all the time. Chill, but indecisive.

Was he hawaiian or jusy from hawaii?

I often start my comments with "So."

It's listed right here in the Perfectly Acceptable Usage chapter of my conversational posting guide book.

"The Rules for Conversational Posting."

Written by Dr. Soy Boy Clown? I had book! Made for good kindling.

Actually, I haven't finished the book yet:)

It's a work in progress.

This is a silly comment. Sometimes beginning a sentence with "so" is acceptable.

Only after you have made a previous statement.

It was cold outside and snowing. So I wore a coat.

So im not gonna stop....

Anyway, it looks like the up and down vote buttons are disabled when you downvote, but not when you upvote. And they're re-enabled when you refresh. So you can only change your vote when you upvote or if you bother refreshing, at least thats how the site is acting on my end.

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind.
