I don't know about Steve/ViolentJ but Guy's a cool dude. He's damn near always donating his time and money for helping people after disasters. Some good family friends and Guy spent a few days making pork for the people after the Cali fires. He puts his time, body, and money where his mouth is.
Guy's also a pompous asshat in person, so take from it what you will.
I work with a guy is a a aggressive asshole with severe anger problems.
But whenever we stop at a red with a homeless person begging, he always gives then a bottle of water, a peanut butter and jelly, and a apple/banana.
He acts like a complete asshole, but makes charity an everyday part of his life.

They hate when people give them food and water, they can't buy drugs with that.

He's got a superiority complex, and feels better then everyone else, and makes it known. This also puts him in the place of being charitable, but still a douche to talk to if he doesn't know you.
I work with a guy like that. He's the nicest asshole you ever met.
