They sucked. Too stiff, but what ever. I married a bitch and got it annulled based on fraud. Her son stole the shoes and my tie. Oh well. Maybe the shoes fit him better and if not, serves him right. Years ago I bought another pair of Italian loafers that had the oddest sole that felt fantastic. The only problem with a shoe that feels that good is that you never want to be without them and they get worn out. Sad day when I tossed them in the trash as they were too weird to be repaired properly. Edit: Those weird cowhide Italian loafers had sole only on the balls of the feet and the heel. Intricate leather stitched together in a strange way so I figured I'd never find anyone to fix them properly but I did get some decent mileage out of them. When I first put them on and walked a bit I knew I had to have them. To be clear, the arch didn't have a sole, just the top leather stitched around that part and some sort of internal support. I've never seen any other shoes like them and since it was before I had a computer I didn't do a search on them. Plain black leather with no decorations other than the stitching.
