Moon shoes? What is this, the 80's? Try rollerblades.

> Product 1 bad!

> Product 2 good!

Love marriage really fucked up White values. Men should be comparing war shouts and contributions to White culture, not how much product they can consume.

In case you hadn't noticed, this isn't an actual dating guide.

Rollerblades were for fags.

My mom rollerblades

Malls were already depressing as fuck by the late nineties. Not completely abandoned but they weren't close to what they were in the eighties

Malls were great during the mid 90s then they just became Nigger foot locker warehouses and goth clothing.

Back about 2005 I was stopping by a mall near a refinery in Oakland because the food court was pretty good. There was a store there that sold upscale clothes and I became friends with the owner who complained that he couldn't sell decent clothes as all the blacks wanted was sports shoes and t shirts. He finally sold out but in the process sold me a pair of alligator shoes from Italy that had originally been priced at $900.00. Still cost me $300.00 but the silk tie I got for $20.00 was hand woven. Best tie I ever owned.

Not sure when the occasion required alligator boots, but nice grab. I've always wanted to try alligator.

I don't remember the moon shoes

There’s no way you could have grown up in the 90’s, watching Nickelodeon and not know what moon shoes are. If you grew up in the 90’s and didn’t have access to Nickelodeon then you are probably blessed.

[–] 2 pts

You know, people who spent their teenagers years in the 90s, didn't watch Nickelodeon and have no idea what moon shoes are.

[–] 1 pt

Based on the comments that seems to be true.

90s culture permeated everything in the 90s. These moon shoes seem to have only existed in Nickelodeon. Grew up in the 90s and this is the first I heard of them. If anything, the most 90s shoe were white tennis shoes.

[–] 0 pt

I remember them from some of the game shows on Nickelodeon because they were worn as part of the different games sometimes.

I had to .

People picking up on chicks weren't wearing fucking moonshoes, we were wearing velcro pants!

Weren't frosted tips a '00s thing?

[–] 1 pt (edited )

Tips were definitely going on in the 90s. I was in the 6th grade in 1998 or so, and this picture of Billie Joe Armstrong was me:

Just put me in a Spitfire or Billabong t-shirt, and there ya go. Also, no tats. But by the early 2000's, the whole Cali surfer-skater thing was boomin', along with that weird Cholo-inspired look all of the early nu-metal bands were going for. The late 90s and early 2000s had this weird Hispanic obsession going on.

Ah, maybe my mistake is thinking that frosted tips only included the spiked-up frosted tips of that 2000s Cali/nu-metal style.

They were variously popular in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. I remember the cosmetology lab at the trade school I attended offering that in 88 or so.

I've never seen a pair of Moon Shoes in the wild, tho.

I picked up a pair from the thrift store. They should call them ankle breakers. Fucking impossible to walk in.

[–] 0 pt

Yes. They look like accidents waiting to happen.

[–] 0 pt

impossible to walk in.

How are they for jumping? I thought that they were only to be jumped around in.

Are they better than those shoes with the deployable roller skates built in? Admittedly, I always thought that those had some potential as popping down those wheels could allow the wearer to cover distance faster than running, with less effort, but they seemed to only be limited to little kids using them.

This is very early 90s, only 90and half of 91

[–] 0 pt (edited )

Like 86-91... after 91 everything was flannel, ripped jeans and combat boots (and that was just the women).

Doc Martin's aren't combat boots lol

[–] 0 pt (edited )

DM's were an 80's thing. There was so much surplus after Desert Storm (jan 91) you could get real combat boots cheap at any Army/Navy surplus store. I know because I still have mine. ;)

That is many segments of the 90s. Moon shoes which I only saw one person with were early 90s. Tomogotchi pets was late 90s. Both very dumb.

No Hammer dance? Can't touch this!
