Ha don’t take things so personally. We mock Irish Americans because they’re Irish. If you tell someone from Cork you’re from Kerry, or someone from Dublin you’re from Meath etc. you’ll be mocked and treated like an idiot. Grow a thicker skin and learn mocking each other over stupid things is a cornerstone of Irish culture.

So by that logic Irish deservingly have full license to call niggers niggers and jews jews.

Yeah, and we do afaik. There was one black kid in my school (adopted from India by Irish parents) and we always called him a nigger and the like. Actually a sound enough lad. And there’s an Irish thing loads of us do in college where we go to the US for four months on our summer holidays as a working holiday on a J1 visa. I went to Chicago with a load of Irish mates and there was a black guy lived near us we hung around with a bit - every single of one of us addressed him a “my nigga” in a black American accent. Think US wokeness has infected younger generations a bit but we were never shy about calling a spade a spade (literally!) and I’m in my 30s so not that auld yet.
