And to ingest the lead what are they drinking, tap water. No one consumes lead by itself. .

True, but DMHO describes the molecular level, not the mixture of stuff that tap water is. Normal tap water is way more healthy than pure DMHO.

Valid point, on a molecular level. However, no one can consume pure water. As soon as pure, non-conductive, water is exposed to air, it immediately dissolves CO2 and other gases. The lab I directed needed to purchase pure water for some military tests. At that time, it cost $20 per quart. As soon as you opened the bottle that was the end of the purity.
