Because they were raised to be that way. I was raised to be that way and it took the better part of the past decade to un-fuck my brain, stop doing drugs, find a trad wife, pursue a good career and settle down. Boomers parents are probably the most guilty because the faggy died hair and entitlement syndrome began with those spoiled pissants, they came out of the great depression and instead of teaching their children stern work ethics and discipline they showered them with excess and created reality bubbles to shelter them, not to mention they pretty much invented "keeping up with the Joneses" and mindless consumerist materialism. Millennials were just a continuation of that.

It’s hard to imagine the Millennials would have done any better than the Boomers had the roles been reversed. They’re basically the same - the only difference being the Boomers actually had the post-war prosperity, and the Millennials got whatever was left over. Gen-X had the advantage of getting to see the prior generations, and live/learn from them; Gen Z has the advantage of Gen-X aged parents, and both these have eyes to see the excesses of the Boomer-Millennial Dialectic.
Millennial girls are fine, so long as they’re swooped up young by strong (usu. Gen-X) male leaders who can redpill them by example. Those are the useful breeding blocks. Their kids are the real hope for the future.

That’s part of why accurate, truthful narrative about the details of generations is important - it serves unifying purposes.
The Almighty God Himself complained about a wicked, useless generation with “worthless people” (His words, not mine) on more than one occasion. It’s part of how we understand and interface with reality itself.
On a personal level, my own dad’s long list of horrible, selfish decisions galvanized my resolve never to do that to my children. This can be extended outward - usefully - to apply to generations, if the narrative is true.

I beg to differ. I think there is a very solid basis for much resentment. That generation was tasked with the responsibility of preserving the best country on the planet. And they smoked and drank and partied and made tons of money to enrich themselves while they completely abandoned the following generation. Pretty sure several of the founding fathers warned us about this.
