Not North of China. Southeast of China, sort of off the coast of South China actually.
Thing is most (?..a LOT) of people think it's in the southern hemisphere...along with Phillipines etc. (tropical). Perhaps Tropical is SOUTH to many people? I know I was never given a geography class at all in pubilc school (US).
