weren't guns in germany verboten, unless you're either a state-goon or a total cuck (preferably both)?
Yes and no. Owning weapons is stigmatized in Germany. Very few people own a firearm and they don't talk about it because of the social stigma. In order to buy a weapon you have to obtain a permit from the government. You can obtain such a permit if you don't have a criminal record and can prove that you are either a collector / gun-historian or you actively compete in sport shooting. If you chose the latter path, you have to join a shooting club for at least one year before applying for the permit and then prove every subsequent year at least 10 hours of practice shooting to keep the permit.
I don't know the exact details on what you can own, but most of what you can own in the USA, you can also own in Germany without much troubles (50cal rifles, AR-15, pistols, shotguns, etc.). However, you have to take into consideration that applying for a gun permit immediately puts you in a watchlist. It's probably better to work on your skills with Airsoft than attracting unnecessary attention.
How do you join a shooting club without a gun?
Every club has a shooting range and lots of different guns that you can use.
