See, watching the video you can see everything Floyd did was completely leading to problems with the police.
If I had been exactly in his shoes being talked to by cops for passing a counterfeit bill my first thoughts would be circling around facts.
If I didn't do it deliberately, I would express surprise and lack of knowledge. Full cooperation as even if I am arrested, I realize I can spend at worst a weekend in jail and plead my case eventually in front of a judge. I get a free attorney to talk to, can notify my family or friends of my location and circumstances and eventually if I prevail, regain my liberty. At worst, just a weekend in jail until I get out on OR.
If I am guilty my thoughts would be, damn, I got caught doing a no no. I'll pretend I didn't know it was fake and just be arrested. At worst I will spend a weekend in jail, get a free attorney and be out by Monday to enjoy a brief period of freedom. "All right officers, I'll go quietly but not answering too many questions as I know nothing".
Plead ignorance to judge, hope a jury finds I had nothing to do with the bill and maybe it was the only one in my possession. If I had a bunch on me, I would seek to make a deal for lighter sentence and yes, snitch out those who provided the bills. I'm not going to the big house alone, you can bet on it. Of course, I make a shitty criminal but then, there's no honor among thieves. BTW, if I was wanting to pass bad bills I would be doing it way different. If the bills can't go in a laundry coin machine they are shit and I wouldn't even have them in the first place. Wear a mask hoody and sunglasses, hit all the laundry mats, cash in coins at grocery store machine and get real bills back from cashiers. Duh!. Floyd was a doped up moron who created his own death scene. He's on the books as having swallowed drugs in the past to avoid arrest so this was his MO. Create a scene, slap drugs into mouth to hide evidence. Fentynal was his drug of choice along with other dangerous drugs.
The dude was so fucked up on drugs during his crime spree he was about as down to Earth literally, as the astronauts on the ISS.
He was a drug addict and career criminal in the midst of a counterfeit crime spree but in his mild defense, he was overdosing on drugs and probably knew he was fucked and just wanted to go home and sleep. He resisted arrest and overdosed.
