Actually in Denver, getting a speeding ticket and not paying it rescinds your 2A. Seen it happen a few times. Funny how the definition of a "felon" cant own a gun went from an actual felony, to looking at someone wrong

That's everywhere. Not paying a ticket means you get a bench warrant, which means you're technically on the run from the law. If you fill out a 4473 (like an idiot) it will ask if you're a fugitive from justice. Warrants count.

When did felonies come with the "can't own a gun forever...unless you're in Texas, then maybe" punishment?

As far as I know, the Founding Fathers intended for felons to still be able to buy and pack heat.

Not saying its right, im just showing the slipping slide of the definition of a felon going from murder or a serious crime, to something that is so obscure, you have to contact the DMV just to check what happened. Also the whole felons cant own guns happened in 1968 with the passing of the gun control act, which ironically is the same time as the great migration and browning of the US
