We actually have shared custody, 50/50. He spends more time with me though. He says his mom's house is too chaotic and noisy to study in, and we work out together on the weekends. He's also getting tire of her constant complaining and criticizing. I can't tell you what a feeling of freedom it was when I moved out. It was like the first time you move out on your own, or the first time you start driving on your own. Shortly afterwards, I ran into a guy who I hadn't seen in a while and he told me I looked younger and more relaxed, and he asked me what I did to change. I told him I got a divorce.
