How did you change it? Just rename it or use an actual conversion program (export it with GIMP or otherwise)?
It maybe that pic8 detected a different file type than what was actually uploaded - I have seen catbox do that like when I saved an image off of plebbit and it saved it as a .jpg file but it was really a webp file. They have that stupid fucking auto=webp shit. Goofy. I hate 4 letter file extensions like .jpeg and webp - super gay.
