1) It’s public transit. The taxes taken from her wages as a seamstress went towards keeping the city buses running.
2) They boycotted the line. That’s your Constitutional right. Don’t like a business? Don’t give them yours! You can do it too. You can organize a boycott if enough people are similarly pissed at an enterprise.
