My take was that she thinks that other girl must have thought that she picked the infection up from unprotected sex, and therefore was sexually active. Quite a cope, considering she probably contracted it from poor hygene or other causes - which any pharmacist would be aware of. The pharmacist probably didn't even recognize her anyway...
