except this bullshit statistic people love to trot out: "more prisoners in the US than any other country"
pretty sure china has millions of uighurs making nikes and apple products while also being fattened up for organ harvesting; not even considering how many people china has disappeared. many countries still execute criminals instead of housing them so let's point at america's prisoners as a sign of how brutal the US is, sure.

duterte actively encourages murdering drug users in the phillipines, for example. tends to keep the prison population a bit low
or most of the middle east where people can be stoned to death for adultery or slavery is legal. america's prisoners don't have it that bad in regards to the rest of the planet
