I was gifted a brand new Ryobi chainsaw a while back. I remember somebody telling me "Ryobi sucks, my husband had one and it would never work" Yet I've had this chainsaw for 2-3 years now and even though I use it sparingly, every time I have a job requiring it it fires right up. If I had a tree trimming business then ya I'd go buy a $500 Stihl, but I just trim the odd branch here or there or perhaps remove a small tree or arborvitae every once in a while and for what it's worth it's a decent piece of machinery.
