Are your fingers starting to behave yet?

A little bit better. Not as well as I’d like. I imagined this would come more naturally to me, but it hasn’t. So I keep practicing.

You will suck for a couple of years. In a decade, you will be pretty good. After two years, you will probably be passable.

It isn't easy. It is a lot of work and dedication.

You have made it over the two-month-hump, which is where many quit. The next barrier is a year. Few make it past that and fewer still make it past the two year mark. So, you have come this far.

In time, it will get better. You have to put those hours in. We all had to. A low-ball estimate is that I have played for a total of about 40,000 hours. It is probably a higher number, but that is an example. That is only two hours per day - and many days I put in 6, 8, or more hours in.

Lots and lots of hours with the guitar in my hands. There are no shortcuts. It is not easy. I'm pretty damned sure I told you that. ;-)

What chords can you play? Have you tried any barre chords?
